Christmas came early to Marton
Thank you to our amazing Marton community for the fantastic support of the Marton Christmas Tree. Thank you to everyone who came to the official launch in November 2023 and to all the businesses, individuals and organisations who sponsored, donated time and helped make the tree a reality. What a wonderful community we have.

Making Marton a destination for play
Now that the playground is complete, we’re excited to be working on a Play Trail for Marton. The play trail will connect Te Āhuru Mōwai with existing, yet different, play and recreation spaces such as the skate park, the toddler playground at Plunket and the bike pump track at Marton School.
Children and their families will be able to scooter, bike and walk safely between the different spaces, ensuring a wider experience for locals and visitors to Marton.
The trail will be marked with way-finding signage, street art and murals to ensure locals and out-of-town families can easily navigate between experiences.
It will truly make Marton a destination for play.
If you’d like to support the play trail or get involved, please get in touch. And if you have a site suitable for a mural or you’re an artist would like to work on one of the murals, please let us know.
